Description
A fantastic Hosta, ‘Diamond Lake’ features very large 9-inch wide by 12-inch long heavily corrugated heart-shape leaves with wavy margins in a captivating and soothing blue color that brings serenity to the garden, and to you. From late spring to early summer, sturdy stalks displaying very pretty soft lavender trumpet shape flowers rise above the foliage mound attracting butterflies, hummingbirds and other beneficial pollinators. A very nice addition to shade gardens pairing well with hardy ferns, heuchera and other shade-loving perennials.
Landscape & Garden Uses
Growing in a dense, spreading mound 2 feet tall and up to 4 feet wide, the Diamond Lake Hosta Lily is ideal for use as a a specimen in smaller garden spaces and containers or in groupings or as a border in shade gardens or along paths and walkways. It is perfect under large shade trees and any other shady location. Don’t think you have any shade? Look on the east side of your home. Diamond Lake is very impressive grown in large containers and is a fine addition to hosta gardens, hummingbird gardens, Blue theme gardens, and woodland shade gardens.

Growing Preferences
Diamond Lake Hosta Lily is easy to grow in most any moist but well-drained soil of average fertility and part shade to shade. Morning and evening sun are okay but we suggest avoiding direct afternoon sun. Flower stems can be removed after bloom.
