Description
One of the easiest roses you’ll ever grow, the Double Pink Knock Out Rose produces an abundance of fully double, bright pink flowers from April to frost on disease free plants. It is just as disease resistant as the famous original Knock Out Rose.
We have yet to find any other roses that are as consistently disease free as those in the family of Knock Out Roses. Every year, folks send us new roses to try that are touted to be “care free” or “disease free” but, in our gardens, none have come close to rivaling the Knock Out Roses when it comes to disease resistance. So, if you want truly disease-free and low maintenance roses, the Knock Out Roses are your rose!
The Knock Out Family of Roses are exceptionally easy to grow and do not require any special care. They are the most disease resistant roses on the market. They have stunning flower power with a generous bloom cycle (about every 5 weeks) that starts in spring and continues to beyond frost. All of the Knock Out roses are self cleaning so there’s no need to deadhead unless you want to.
All varieties of Knock Out Roses are winter hardy to USDA Zone 5 and heat tolerant throughout the entire U.S.. They thrive in almost every area of the country. In the coldest regions they will need winter protection.
Landscape & Garden Uses
Growing 4 to 5 feet tall and wide, the Pink Double Knock Out Rose is ideal for use as a specimen, in groupings or as a colorful hedge in landscape and flowering shrub borders and home foundation plantings. This rose is so reliable and attractive throughout the season we have no problem suggesting it for use in home foundation plantings. A fine addition to rose gardens, cottage gardens and pink theme gardens.
Suggested Spacing: 4 feet apart for hedges; 8 feet apart for space between plants
Note: For our customers who live and garden north of USDA Plant Hardiness Zone 5a, where this Knock Out Rose variety is not winter hardy, you’ll be happy to know it can be grown in containers that can be brought indoors during winter and placed back outside when temperatures warm up in spring.
Growing Preferences
Double Pink Knock Out Rose is the easiest rose you’ll ever grow.
Knock Out Roses are exceptionally easy to grow in average, moist but well-drained soils in full sun to part shade. As with all other roses, to avoid powdery mildew on the leaves morning sun is a must to dry dew from the leaves. Afternoon shade or filtered sun is fine. We suggest 6 hours of direct sun light for best flowering.
Maintenance is minimal. Knock Out Roses do not require pruning, however, they do benefit from it. To keep your Knock Out Rose full and bushy from year to year prune the branches back to about 15-18 inches above the ground in late winter or early spring. After this hard pruning, your Knock Roses will quickly flush out and start blooming with the arrival of warmer spring temperatures. Deadheading spent flowers through the season is not necessary however will encourage new buds and flowers.

Purchased 2 plants in 3 gallon pots. I was skeptical about the shipping. When they arrived, I was totally amazed at how carefully they were packed. It took a good 10 minutes to remove packing and free the plants. Both were planted in large pots on the west side of my property. Within a few days, they were blooming and continue to bloom. I will purchase additional plant from this company. My mail order plant purchasing is no longer a fear!—————————————————-We are so glad you are pleased and we hope you enjoy them for years to come! Thanks for the kind words and great review! 🙂 Beth Steele | WBG

We ordered 3 of these on 3/29 and did not receive them until 4/15 (17 days) even though confirmation email said shipped within 2 to 7 days of order. I also had to make a few phone calls to inquire on the status of the shipment. We were going to order a 5 in total but Wilson only had 3 in stock. We took a chance with Amazon and they were in hand within 3 days of order.
That being said the quality of these roses are second to none and were worth the wait, quality wise. The roses from Wilson brothers was full with multiple buds forming and in much better shape than the Amazon bushes. I was truly impressed with the quality. In the future, we will order again and expect the delay and also the need to call. The only reason for the 4 instead of 5 stars was the delay and customer service and definitely not related to quality.————————————–We apoligize for the delay and usually our customer service is stellar, but we are glad you are pleased with the quality. Thanks for your review. Beth|WBG

This lovely plant arrived very quickly in perfect condition. I could not find it in nurseries where I live (not the double one) so it was great to get it and the soft touch hollies both online. The packaging is a challenge to open, but it keeps the plants fresh and undamaged. All four of my plants arrived in excellent condition and are putting out new growth after only a week of being planted.—————————————-We are so glad you are pleased and we hope you enjoy them for years to come!
