One of if not the brightest and cheery Helleborus in our gardens, Rosemary is one of those plants that will always have you looking forward to late winter. The most floriferous of Helleborus in our gardens, evening when young, Rosemary features loads of stunning, long-lasting pink flowers that emerge a lighter shade of pink transitioning to a darker rose pink color as the they age into spring. The color of these flowers make other pinks look dull in comparison, and they face outward rather than downward, which really helps to display the fresh color. Upon closer inspection, the petals display lighter pink veining and darker pink speckling and surround a prominent crown of contrasting yellow stamens. An excellent, long-lasting cut flower. As a hybrid between Helleborus niger and Helleborus hybridus, Rosemary displays incredible vigor and flower performance and is exceptionally easy to grow and long-lived in USDA Zones 4a-9b. Forming an attractive evergreen clump 18 to 24 inches tall in flower and equally as wide, this is a perfect plant in the ground or containers under large trees, decks and other shady areas. 

Rosemary Helleborus is very easy to grow in most any moist but well-drained soil of average fertility and part shade to shade. Though Helleborus will tolerate mostly sun in cool-summer climates, we think they look and perform their best with part shade to full shade, which makes them perfect for planting under tall decks, large shade trees and other shady areas. Morning and/or evening sun or all-day filtered sun is fine. Direct afternoon sun, especially in USDA Zones 7 to 9, is not suggested. Plant with the top of the root ball even with ground level. Care and maintenance are minimal. Feed in spring with an organic plant food.
